Hello, everyone — Happy New Year!

At the end of last year, I told myself that I wanted to do more writing in 2022. I figured that one of the best ways to do that would be to focus my pieces on the things I’m most passionate about. Thankfully enough, one of those things happens to be music. I think many of us can agree that music means a lot to us — the world wouldn’t be what it is without it. Music can be a conduit for our emotions — it can help us express the things we feel in ways that other things can’t. It can even serve as a point of connection between people, whether we’re bonding over our favorite genres or talking about the latest projects from our favorite artists.

But perhaps the most important thing about music is its ability to inspire us, to provoke thought about finding our place in the world and making sense of this thing we call life. Music has a lot of meaning — and that meaning can look different from person to person.

In this new series of mine called “Music With Meaning”, I want to share with you all what some of my favorite songs, albums, and artists mean to me — how they inspire me, how they connect me with other people and experiences, and how they help me make sense of life and solidify who I want to be in this big world of ours. I’m hoping to write a new piece for this series a few times each month, most likely weekly. There will definitely be other things I’ll be writing about in between as well, so be on the lookout for those pieces, too.

I’m so excited to share this series with you all — it’s something I’ve thought about doing for a long time now, and I can’t wait to get started! I’ll see you all on the first post soon!

Peace and love,

Manny

Thank you all for reading! I’m planning on having the first piece in this series up by the end of this week at the latest. I’m super excited to share it with you all. I’m wishing you all the best in 2022!
